Overview
In a digital world, having difficult conversations face to face can be challenging and stressful for all concerned.
This course gives you the skills, techniques and confidence to plan for and effectively communicate those tough messages, enabling better outcomes and greater staff engagement.
Building on extensive real world examples of conveying the most challenging messages, the course blends theory and lived experience to deliver a structured, methodical and effective means of communicating.
Practical sessions help build delegates confidence, experience and skills base, to better plan for and engage with colleagues at all levels.
Andy Cribbin
Leadership coach and former senior detective
Andy served as the Head of Major Crime for Lancashire Police, overseeing all homicide and major crime investigations. He retired as a Detective Superintendent in 2021 after 30 years distinguished service. As a seasoned Senior Investigating Officer, he led the police response to numerous complex and high-profile murder cases.
Since leaving the police, Andy has developed leadership training programmes that emphasise decision-making, risk and threat management, effective communication, and collaborative working. Leveraging his extensive real-world experience, Andy shares the techniques and processes he employed as an effective leader, which are highly applicable across both the public and private sectors.
He regularly performs independent reviews for local authorities and companies, enabling current best practise and lessons learned to be threaded throughout the training sessions, maximising the learning outcomes.
