Introducing Dr Paul Wright

Trainer and Consultant, Procurement and Supply Chain Management

Paul started as a scientist with a PhD in Physics from the University of Leeds. This lead him to chemical multi-national ICI where he fell into procurement and contract management, and has stayed ever since.

He started PAWA Consulting Ltd. in 1998, and has specialised in public sector procurement since 2000 when he was involved in looking for business opportunities for SMEs for the Manchester 2002 Commonwealth Games.

He authored Excellence in Public Sector Procurement with Stuart Emmett in 2011 (which is now a couple of legislative changes behind the times).

He works with clients in both the public and private sectors in the UK and internationally. He is a frequent speaker at public procurement conferences. He delivers and assessed professional procurement qualifications for the Chartered Institute of Procurement, and delivers for other professional bodies including IChemE.

Paul covers a wide range of commercial skills including procurement, contract management, negotiation and supplier management.
