David Waller

David Waller is a long-standing specialist in Benefits Management. Drawing on 30 years of experience in shaping and delivering value from major UK programmes across both business and government, he brings real-world insights and examples that make the method easy to apply.

He was active in Cranfield University's research, applying their findings to the rollout of BT's intranet, one of the first, largest and most successful corporate intranets. He then took this experience to his customers in finance, utilities and central government.

He joined the NHS to establish a public sector focused benefits management toolset. In the 20 years since David moved into health, he’s managed benefits of national health IT programmes. His discoveries helped to select and prioritise programmes that impact upon everyone who has contact with the NHS in England.

Now semi-retired, he continues to study and share his knowledge of Benefits. He recently wrote The Goal Model: Designing Business Decisions, a practical guide to benefits mapping.
