Wendy Breakell is an experienced business woman and entrepreneur. She began her education business after volunteering as a mentor to help support aspiring entrepreneurs and found herself being asked to work with a range of organisations including Westminster Kingsway College.
Her company operates across Manchester and London delivering high impact programmes that link employers and business to the curriculum. Being from a business background Wendy understands how these type of relationships need to be managed and how best to align the interests of the company with the curriculum. Wendy’s portfolio of work has grown with the college and she is currently assisting with The Digital Skills strategy, establishing a Digital think tank with Tec businesses. She is also passionate about the opportunities of Degree apprenticeships and is working with the Career team on improving the take up of these apprenticeships with high flying students.
She is also the managing director and founder of “Break into business”, a service that provides business support to create and develop new sustainable businesses.
Prior to setting up her own business and work with Westminster Kingsway College, Wendy was the Director of Business at SSR Ltd, a music and media company in Manchester which was awarded Business of the Year in recognition of its growth and development in 2009. She has worked with 100’s of businesses across numerous sectors and is an experienced trainer and consultant.
