Stuart Allison

Assessment, Evaluation and Quality Improvement, Education Expert

Stuart Allison is a recently retired Quality Improvement Manager in the Education Department of East Renfrewshire Council (ERC).

Stuart Allison worked for East Renfrewshire Council (ERC) – Education Department for the last 11 years as a Quality Improvement Officer and Manager. Stuart had key responsibility for leading reviews and preparing schools for inspection as well as taking forward Curriculum for Excellence, SQA liaison, the Sciences and Global Citizenship. As authority Assessment Co-ordinator from 2003 he led on all aspects of assessment and made a major contribution to raising attainment in ERC schools.

He was a member of the national advisory group taking forward Assessment is for Learning. He also served on the national advisory group for science and technology for over five years.

He is currently working as consultant to the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment in the Republic of Ireland for Junior Cycle Science and as a Tapestry Partnership team member.
