Sheron Hosking

Head of Childrens Health Joint Commissioning, Islington Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) & London Borough of Islington (LBI)

Sheron Hosking is currently The Head of Childrens Joint Commissioning in Islington, a joint post across Islington CCG and LBI. Sheron, and her team, have a broad portfolio that includes: SEND, Transforming Care, CAMHS and most recently Placements as well as integrated care for children and young people spanning primary care, community and acute services.

Sheron’s original experience in teacher training, and then as a teacher / Head of Department in a London secondary school, has provided insight into the need to work across Health, Education and Social Care to effectively meet the holistic needs of Children and Young People. Having now spent 20 years in commissioning services for CYP, with a strong focus on CAMHS and SEND; complimented with a brief period of operational management of a co – located integrated service for children with additional needs; collaboration, partnership working and shared values underpinned by effective communication across sectors is central to the success of her commissioning role.

Joint Commissioning puts CYP and their parents and carers at the centre of what we do as a partnership, drawing on need analysis information, data and experience to plan quality service’s to meet needs that are reviewed and quality assured on an ongoing cycle.
