Rachael Hood

Families, Children and Young People's Manager for Scotland, Mental Health Foundation

Prior to joining the Mental Health Foundation, Rachael has worked in varied contexts leading the design and delivery of youth and family services in Scotland and Melbourne, Australia. Prior to joining the Mental Health Foundation, she led the Homeless Support and Prevention services in Glasgow for Shelter Scotland. Her role focused on the co-design and delivery of services for those with the most complex needs at risk of repeat homelessness.

Alongside her role with the foundation, Rachael works with the Lens as a developer; coaching, facilitating and mentoring frontline staff in the third and public sector through the Lens entrepreneurship programme which reframes decision making to turn innovative ideas to action.

With a professional and academic background in Youth Work and Community Learning Development, Rachael continues an interest in connections between wellbeing, empowerment and citizenship.
