Peter is an independent international education consultant who helps Higher Education organisations create and realise their international strategies.
Recent consultancy projects include the creation of a Joint College in China for a post 1992 University, the review of the TNE portfolio of one of the top ten providers of TNE in the UK, and the development of a strategy for entry into the China market for a University new to the market.
Peter has worked in Higher Education for 35 years, initially starting as a lecturer in Electronic Engineering before becoming Director of the International College and Associate Dean International at Edinburgh Napier University. He opened his consultancy business in 2014.
Peter was a member of the working group that developed the Scottish Government’s Engagement in China Strategy and developed 20 Ministry of Education (MOE) approved joint programmes in China for Edinburgh Napier – the largest number of any UK university.
He is regularly commissioned for opinion pieces on international education and has published in The New York Times, Sunday Times, Times Higher Education Supplement, International Herald and Post, and other quality press outlets.
