Service Manager, Housing, Health & Social Care, Fife Council

I have worked within Fife in the Housing field for the past 30 years – and have had various jobs in the frontline from working on the lettings counter to Housing Visitor to Manager. I have worked in homeless assessment and have also been a Housing Support Officer.

I worked to develop Housing Advice within Fife Council. As part of this I completed my Housing Advice Professional Development Award at Type 2 and with colleagues worked to get Fife Council Local offices accredited to the National Housing Information & Advice standards. Through this experience I am firm advocate of good advice and the National Standards.

I have been an Area Housing Manager delivering a range of housing services to a geographic area.

Currently I am a Service Manager within Fife Council Housing Service working in areas around Housing, Health & Social Care.

One of the key initiatives I am working on in at present is the “Improving the Way We Work” project, developing a range of advice & support services for women experiencing domestic abuse.

I attended Glasgow University in the early 1990’s and completed my Post Graduate Diploma in Housing.
