Melanie Dunsmore

Pupil Support Leader, Wallace High School

Melanie has been a teacher of PE for 20 years, working in Wallace High School for the last 19. Pupil Support was always a direction she has always wanted to take and she has been involved with Pupil Support for the last 10 years at Wallace High School. Melanie currently has responsibility for an S2 year group and will follow them through their school career.

In 2018, Wallace High School was awarded the prestigious Scottish Education Award for their work in Health and Wellbeing Award at the national celebration in Glasgow. Depute First Minister and Cabinet Secretary, John Swinney, tweeted the following comments “The world leading approach to supporting the mental wellbeing of young people @wallacehighsch is recognised with the Health and Wellbeing Award!”
