Margaret Ho

Senior Organisational Development Advisor, West Lothian Council

Margaret is currently the Senior Organisational Development Advisor at West Lothian Council, where she is responsible for the Learning & Development provision across the Operational, Building and Housing Services. She manages the Modern Apprenticeship programme, and has a strong partnership with Skills Development Scotland, ensuring the best practice principles are ingrained throughout the programme.

Margaret is passionate about developing people, in particular the development of young people. She believes that Modern Apprenticeships offer fantastic opportunities for both individuals and employers. The skills and experience gained form the first building blocks to successful careers for individuals, whilst allowing employers to grow and maintain a steady talent pipeline. Margaret is delighted with the recent achievement for West Lothian Council’s apprentice from the NETS, Lands and Countryside Services, who was successful in winning the National APSE Award for Horticulture 2018.
