Lisa Forster

Principal Consultant, Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy

Lisa Forster is a CIPFA qualified accountant and has worked at CIPFA as an advisor and consultant since 2008.

She joined the organisation as a finance advisor in CIPFA Networks, and has more recently moved across to the advisory team. Lisa’s two areas of expertise are in education finance, particularly academy accounts and assurance, and also in local government ‘transformation’ around the consideration of ‘alternative service delivery models’.

Lisa has written accredited qualifications and delivered a wide variety of training to schools, academies and local authorities’ education officers.

Prior to her employment at CIPFA, Lisa worked at a local authority as head of the schools finance unit dealing with formula funding, budgets, governors and training.
