Jonathan Ellis

Director of Advocacy & Change, Hospice UK

Jonathan Ellis is Director of Advocacy & Change at Hospice UK, the national body for the UK hospice movement.

He has almost 20 years experience of working in health and social care policy within the voluntary sector, and experience of campaign design and delivery at local and national level.

He joined Hospice UK in January 2007.  Prior to this, he worked for over eight years in the policy team at Help the Aged, where he ended up as Senior Policy Manager for Health and Social Care, responsible for the Charity’s care policy work.

Before joining the voluntary sector in 1998, he worked in local government in one of the first joint appointments between a local council and the then health authority overseeing the county-wide administration of residential and nursing care placements.
