James Fornara

Principal, WAC Arts College

James is the Principal of Wac Arts College an alternative provision free school (14-19yrs.), the first in the country with a specialism in the creative arts & media.

All students attending Wac Arts College have had significant issues engaging in mainstream education. The college was judged good in all areas by OFSTED in June 2017. He trained as a drama teacher at the Welsh College of Music & Drama and has had extensive experience in a wide variety of schools all over London. Previously Headteacher for the Pupil Parent Partnership Community School, an alternative education provider that provided specialist education and therapeutic support services to excluded learners.  He successfully steered the school through registration with the DfE   and their first OFSTED inspection. James completed his NPQH at the IoE in July 2014 and is currently completing an MA in Media, Culture and Education at IoE/UCL. James is also an avid DJ & music producer.
