Jackie’s system leadership for the Local Authority during that time has included KS1 moderation, Webster Stratton classroom management training and local leadership support. Jackie led her team at Stanningley through a successful Ofsted inspection in November 2014 and she is keen to share any insights that she has picked up over the years, with the passion and modesty that are her hallmark characteristics.
The school received a letter of commendation from the DfE for its effectiveness in closing the attainment gap at KS2. Jackie is seconded to Leeds Authority carrying out pupil premium reviews and giving follow up support to schools in order to narrow their gaps. This year her LA role has increased and developed into more of an advisory capacity, working directly with vulnerable schools and Learning Alliances. She carries out teaching and learning reviews alongside Headteachers and leaders, supporting and challenging the evaluation processes in schools and their impact on closing gaps and improving standards.
