Helen Lisle BA (Hons) CMgr FCMI FCIPS

Chairperson, HCSA

Helen Lisle is currently the Director of Procurement and Supplies at The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, the Trust is one of the largest and most successful teaching NHS Trusts in the country. Prior to her role in Newcastle, Helen held senior roles in Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust. Helen’s career within the NHS is short in comparison to her 22 years in Local Government during which she was highly involved in procurement both locally and nationally.

Helen is the current Chairman of the Health Care Supplies Association (HCSA), the association representing procurement professionals within the NHS. Preceding her Chairmanship, Helen held the position of HCSA Learning and Development lead.

An experienced procurement professional and a Fellow of both the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) and the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), Helen is passionate about procurement and supporting others in their procurement journey; she is part of a national mentoring team; represents the North East of England on a number of national boards and particularly enjoys the boards supporting professional development. She is also one of CIPS specialist assessment consultants, working on the CIPS examinations, Corporate Award Programme (CAP), Management Entry Route (MER) and Charter. She is also delighted to have recently been invited to join the Fellowship Panel.
