Graham has worked at Forth Valley College for over 12 years in various roles. Forth Valley leads on the delivery of one of the largest Modern Apprenticeship programmes within the college sector in Scotland. It currently has approximately 650 funded apprentices on their MA programme which is managed by the team of Business Development Partners. Their role is to engage with new employers, manage and grow the partnership with current employers and to support the apprentices throughout their Modern Apprenticeship programme.
Forth Valley currently work with over 200 employers across the UK, recruiting engineering apprentices on behalf of employers each year – a process which includes organised open evenings, application screening, aptitude testing and group interviews. This rigorous process has proved successful with a high attainment and achievement rate of over 91% in this discipline. They continue to evaluate the delivery and content of all their programmes and work with employers and candidates to ensure the skills and knowledge they gain is what is relevant and mirrors what is required in industry.
