Glen joined Lincolnshire County Council in March 2012, initially as Assistant Director. He was appointed as Director of Adult Social Services in February 2013. He was previously the Area Director for Adult Social Services in Hampshire County Council.
Glen’s background is in clinical psychology, social work, applied research and then obtained an MBA. Glen has worked in Scotland, Wales, England, India and the USA. He has also spent a month studying Health and Social Care in New Zealand. Glen began his career as a Community Service Volunteer. He has worked at all levels of local government: districts, unitaries and county councils.
His previous roles have included responsibility for adult and children’s services and housing and leisure. He was until recently the East Midlands Branch Chair for the Association of Directors of Social Services (ADASS) and relinquished this role in march to become the Vice-President of ADASS nationally. He chairs the Lincolnshire Task Group responsible for producing the Lincolnshire Better Care Fund.
