Gary is the Director of Procurement and Supply Chain at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The Trust is a world renowned centre of clinical excellence and one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the UK.
He is also the Chair of the Shelford Procurement Group. The Shelford Group comprises ten leading NHS multi-specialty academic healthcare organisations. The Group is dedicated to excellence in clinical research, education and patient care.
Gary has held a number of lead procurement roles at various Trusts across the NHS and was Programme Director for the development of the London Procurement Programme and Managing Director of that organisation for 3 years. He was previously Project Manager for the development of the Pro:Cure Collaborative Procurement Hub and was also Project Manager for the implementation of a range of national contracts as part of the Department of Health Supply Chain Excellence Programme.
Gary is particularly interested in the opportunity for healthcare procurement to support efficiency and innovation in the delivery of healthcare.
Gary is an engineer by training and holds an MBA from Durham University Business School.
