Ellen O’Brien

International Careers Consultant, University of Birmingham

Ellen has held the role of International Careers Consultant at University of Birmingham since 2011.  Prior to that she worked for Aston University in a similar role and prior to that held the role of Head of Service at University College Birmingham where she also taught English as a Second Language. Overall, she has 26 years of experience as a Careers professional working in a range of schools, special schools and FE colleges before transitioning into the world of HE. In 2014 and 2016 Ellen won the UKCISA/NUS Internationalisation Award for “Best Careers Support for International Students”.
