Dr Vicky Lewis

International Strategy Development Expert

Vicky is an independent consultant, researcher and trainer, who advises higher education institutions (in the UK and beyond) on various aspects of international strategy development.

Consultancy projects have included advising a Russell Group university on marketing strategy, infrastructure and operations for its international campus; and evaluating opportunities for transnational partnerships in specific countries for another UK client.

Vicky has worked in higher education for over 20 years, setting up an International Office from scratch and holding Director of International Relations and Director of Marketing & Communications posts at Bournemouth University before establishing her consultancy business in 2013.

She holds a Doctorate of Business Administration (Higher Education Management) from the University of Bath. Her thesis explored different approaches to institutional internationalisation within the UK HE sector. Current research interests include transnational education, with a particular focus on collaboration across organisational cultures.

Vicky delivers workshops, webinars and training courses on topics including developing strategic international partnerships, enhancing global employability of graduates, and internal stakeholder engagement. She is an active member of the European Association for International Education.
