Dr Maureen Nash

Educational Consultant (Parental Engagement, Teaching Assistants)

Maureen has over 20 years’ experience in primary schools as a teacher and SENCo and then working as Teacher Adviser for Lancashire’s Parental Involvement Team. She then promoted the recruitment, development and progression of teaching assistants, HLTAs and a range of support staff, as Teacher Adviser for Lancashire’s School Workforce Development Team.

She has been awarded Doctor of Education with her thesis entitled Teachers and Teaching Assistants Working Together: The Perceptions of Teaching Assistants within National Frameworks, which has a focus on listening to the views of teaching assistants on their classroom practice.

Maureen continues to work with schools to support parental involvement and best practice with teaching assistants.
