Denise has been delivering and implementing Agile Working since 2010. As Project Manager for Greater Manchester Police she was part of a team that relocated over 1500 staff from an aging Headquarters building to a brand-new building in Manchester. On this occasion, the challenge that presented itself was to allow 1500 people to work in such a way so that the buildings maximum capacity would not be exceeded.
Denise has worked with several Public and Private Sector organisations advising and implementing the concept of Agile Working including cultural readiness, estate rationalisation, identifying opportunities or threats to the Agile Working concept, accessing current/future IT infrastructure, identifying opportunities to further maximise Agile Working and advising on HR issues likely to affect personnel
Her success in introducing Agile Working, managing the associated changes and embedding the Agile “ethos” into everyday working practices has meant these challenges are met and the resulting innovative ways of working have exceeded all expectations. As a result, several organisations have extended Agile Working to other key sites and continue to use Agile to optimise their Estate.
Building on her background and qualifications as a HR Manager, Denise has also been responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of an Agile Working environment ensuring that policies and procedures are amended to accommodate these new working styles consulting with senior management, Staff Associations and the employees themselves.
Having previously been Departmental HR Manager for a large Public Sector ICT department, Denise gained useful contacts and experience in relation to how ICT changes can impact on everyday working life for employers and employees alike. This insight continues to be invaluable when providing Agile consultancy services.
