Dale Wilkins

Head of Safeguarding and Standards, Boarding Schools' Association

Dale completed over 30 years as a boarding practitioner before joining BSA permanently in September 2017.  Dale began his career as a boarding tutor at Norwich School, ran a junior girls’ house with his wife at Tettenhall College, and then moved to Old Swinford Hospital in Stourbridge, where he spent 25 years as Housemaster in both senior and junior boys’ houses, as Director of Boarding and then as Deputy Head and Designated Safeguarding Lead.  He has also been a course tutor and trainer for BSA for almost twenty years, was a sector professional inspector under NCSC, CSCI and Ofsted, and a trainer for the local safeguarding board.
