Dale Cooper

Director of Campaigns & Supporter Engagement, University of Reading

Dale Cooper has over 20 years of international fundraising and development experience, notably in principal and major gifts; campaigns; strategy development including fundraising, alumni relations, management, change and project management.

Dale has a track record in securing major gifts, notably a $36m grant. He has provided consultation to a number of institutions in the Middle East, is an advisor to an international education charity and Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce.

In 2007 he joined King’s College London, where he was part of the hugely successful £500m WorldQuestions|King’sAnswers campaign. In 2013 he was seconded to work on the implementation of the recommendations following the landmark 2012 Review of Philanthropy in UK Higher Education. In 2014 he took up the post of Director of Campaigns and Supporter Engagement at the University of Reading; last year the University launched the IMAGINE campaign with a goal of £150million and 60,000 volunteer hours. He is currently studying for an MA in Philanthropic Studies.
