Clare is the Chair of the Chartered College of Teaching and Lead Practitioner at Lipson Co-operative Academy in Plymouth.

Claire has been a successful school governor, class teacher and Head of Mathematics.

She is now a Lead Practitioner in Maths at the Lipson Co-operative Academy in Plymouth, where she is raising awareness of evidence-informed practice, tackling a range of research projects including the value and effectiveness of feedback and intervention strategies. She is also mentoring newly qualified teachers.

Claire was appointed as one of the Founding Trustees of the College of Teaching last autumn, a position that reflects both her teaching expertise and her early and sustained involvement in the Claim Your College Campaign.  She was subsequently elected the first Chair of the College of Teaching at the end of 2015.

She has wide range experience in improving pupils’ attainment levels through continued professional development and she is committed to ensure all children have access to high quality teaching.
