Brigadier Suzanne Anderson commissioned from Sandhurst into the Adjutant General’s Corps (Educational and Training Services) (AGC(ETS)) in 1995. Prior to commissioning she gained a degree in Hispanic Studies and a Master of Philosophy in Linguistics. She has extensive experience working with young soldiers and cadets and helping them achieve strong academic results.
Suzanne Anderson’s early career in the army included service with the Royal Corps of Signals, roles as an Instructor Officer at in Army Education Centres (AECs) in Germany and deployment to Bosnia. After promotion to Major, Suzanne spent nine months as Officer Commanding the Army’s Education Centres (AECs) in Northern Ireland before completing on the Master of Defence Administration course at the UK Defence Academy and the Advanced Command and Staff Course. A post as Military Assistant to the Director General Development & Doctrine was followed by a second tour commanding AECs in London, during which time she also completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Education in Post Compulsory Education & Training.
Suzanne Anderson was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel in 2007 where after she took a staff position in the Army Recruiting and Training Division before taking Command of Manchester & Salford University Officer Training Corps. After this post Suzanne assumed a position in Army HQ for Whole Life Development. She was promoted to Colonel in March 2013 and began a Career Management Policy role at the Army Personal Centre Glasgow. After promotion to Brigadier in September 2015 Suzanne became Army Head of Individual Development. She is based in the South and is regularly in demand to speak on careers, youth attainment and progression and talent management.
