Andrew has spent more than 20 years at the University of Manchester, working as a careers adviser and a manager within the Careers Service. Prior to that he taught in Further Education and even further back was a manager with a major high street bank.
He is currently responsible for managing a team of staff responsible for international students and students from widening participation backgrounds. He works closely with colleagues in international student recruitment and relations and has recently joined the strategy groups for China and India at the University.
He has edited numerous books on careers related matters, written many articles for national press and professional journals and taught on a range of management and career related courses at the university and for other organisations.
He has worked with universities in other parts of the world to support their careers centres including those in Austria, Italy, Germany, Sweden, Poland, Ghana, China, USA and Australia and New Zealand.
