Alex Bols is the Deputy CEO of GuildHE, a recognised representative body for Higher Education in the UK. In his role, he works closely with the CEO in developing and managing all aspects of the organisation’s mission and strategy. His key responsibilities involve the effective dissemination of policies and advocacy on behalf of members and students.
He has previously worked at NUS, UUK and the 1994 Group in a range of policy and management roles, working towards improvements for both students and universities. During Alex’s time at NUS he oversaw research, including research into the student experience, student perspectives on technology and complaints and appeals.
Alongside his role, Alex is a Board member of the University College of Osteopathy, a Trustee at Cambridge University Students’ Union and is studying for his Doctor of Education at UCL’s Institute of Education.
